Sung Tao Society supports and promotes the Founding Principles and Values of the Republic of China (中華民國).
The Founding Principles are The Three Principles of the People (三民主義) conceived by Dr. Sun Yat-Sen:
Nationalism (民族主義), Democracy (民權主義) and Livelihood (民生主義).
The Founding Values are based on the Confucian tenets of The Four Anchors (四維) and Eight Virtues (八德).
The Four Anchors (四維) are:Propriety (禮), Righteousnss (義), Integrity (廉) and Shamefulness (恥).
The Eight Virtues (八德) are:Loyalty (忠), Filial Piety (孝), Benevolence (仁), Compassion (愛), Truthfulness (信), Justice (義), Harmony (和) and Peace (平).
Sung Tao Society works with non-government organizations in Taiwan and abroad to hold complementary events. The objectives are to improve social quality, to broaden education and to foster civism.
